Thankfully, Syaoran had once more found time to temporarily depart from Hong Kong and visit Tomoeda. Even though she assumed it would be quite difficult maintaining a steady bond with another with such a distance between, she was really quite mistaken. With Syaoran’s occasional visits, in addition to them writing back and forth to one another it’s really not too bad to have adjusted to. Although, it would still be nice if they didn’t have to take such initiatives to simply carry on a conversation or be with each other. Even so, it’s surely worth it.
As the two of them sat there on the couch within her home, Sakura was very appreciative to them having the house to themselves. Tomoyo kindly volunteered to allow Kero to stay over at her home. Sakura’s father has to work late, and her older brother is otherwise occupied with Yukito over at his home.
As they watched a couple of rather romantic movies in a row, time had gotten away from them and the darkness of night arrived. She gradually began getting sleepy, but had enough energy to remain awake. Without putting too much thought into it, she glanced over at Syaoran in the corner of her eye as she contemplated moving closer towards one another to share the small blanket. Before she even had the opportunity to work up the nerve, him arm had been placed around her she was gently pulled closer over to him. Only a few moments later, Sakura found herself cuddling up with Syaoran. At a loss for words as the blush on her face refused to go away, as well as her heart beat not wanting to slow down at all. Only a few minutes after the two of them were sharing what she considered to be a more romantic situation, she couldn't help but drift off to slip as she lay there in his arms.
